A leader must Be, Know, and do
A leader must have the attribute of Be, which is to be a professional who has the values of honesty, integrity, commitment, and imaginative. A leader is not just limited to being a "boss", but being able to encourage any person who he led to develop and issue potential.A leader must have the attribute Know. There are four pillars which support this attribute, namely Know Yourself, Know Human nature, Know your job, and know Your Organization.
The first pillar, Know Yourself
A leader must understand himself deep inside. He should be able to dive into what the strengths, weaknesses, knowledge, and capabilities within him, as it would establish an effective communication bridge between "the Leader" and "everyone they lead".
The second pillar, Know Human Nature.
Which means he must understand others lead. Because of that, a leader is not just limited to "the boss", but to be a "Power Potential".
The third pillar, Know Your Job
This pillar is not merely knowing alone of tasks , but how a leader capable of being "Train" to achieve the planned objectives.
The fourth pillar, Know your Organization.
Speaking of how a leader is able to deliver "Work Culture" to everyone they lead.
The last attribute that must be possessed by a leader is Do, the Do Provide Direction and Do Implement.Do Provide Direction, means a leader must be able to be a commander, such as setting a goal to be achieved, making careful planning, and a solution the problem.
Do Implement, means a leader must be able to communicate, coordinate, and evaluate each of the objectives that were assigned to individual people they lead.
The third attribute (be, know, do) not found a man from birth or genetic factors, but on the process of learning, experience, and improvised self-sustainable (Kenneth Boulding).
